Alpha
Meet Alpha – A Survivor With a Gentle Soul
Alpha spent years living as a quiet guardian of his neighborhood, coming and going as he pleased, watching over his chosen territory with quiet strength. We don’t know how long he lived as a community cat, but for at least a few years, Alpha made brief appearances before vanishing again, always keeping his distance.
That changed late last year, when we saw him return with a serious neck injury. For the first time, Alpha didn’t disappear. Instead, he did something extraordinary, he surrendered. It was clear that he was asking for help.
He allowed Miguel, one of our colony caregivers, to gently guide him into a crate so he could receive the care he desperately needed.
Alpha’s recovery was not easy. He required weekly vet visits at first, each one involving nearly five hours of roundtrip driving. As his wound healed and his spirit softened, his appointments became less frequent. He showed remarkable resilience, and slowly, he began to trust.
Though cautious by nature, Alpha has shown us that he has a heart full of quiet affection. He enjoys calm environments and will thrive in a patient, loving home where he can continue to feel safe. He may never be a lap cat, but he seeks companionship in his own way, by sitting nearby, watching peacefully, or blinking slowly in gratitude.
Alpha is approximately 4 years old, neutered, vaccinated, and ultimately was diagnosed with FIV. He was adopted to a home with multiple FIV positive cats and is now thriving with his new family.
If you believe in second chances and quiet victories, Alpha might just be your perfect match.
